Symbols to Copy and Paste — Hearts, Stars and Separators

Search the symbol library by name or category, copy an individual character, or use it around a phrase. Hearts, stars, arrows and minimal separators are labelled so you know which character you are choosing.

Up to 500 characters (complete graphemes), with an 8000 code-unit safety cap.

Find the symbol rather than guessing its name

Search heart to compare ♡, ♥ and ❤; search star to compare ☆, ★, ✦ and ✧. The labels distinguish similar shapes. You can also search separator or arrow. The library is a small deliberate selection, not a claim to contain every Unicode symbol.

Copy one character or compose a phrase

  • Use a symbol’s Copy button to copy that character alone.
  • Use its Use button to place it on either side of your phrase in the preview.
  • Edit Your text and copy Phrase preview to copy the complete composition.
  • If clipboard access fails, the requested output is selected for manual copying. Check the pasted result in its final field.

For example, choose White heart and enter Hello to produce ♡ Hello ♡. This preview preserves your letters rather than converting them into a decorative alphabet. The input limit is 500 complete graphemes and 8000 code units; surrounding symbols are added to the output.

Use decoration without replacing the message

Try a middle dot between short interests, a star around a short label or one heart beside a name. Keep words for information a reader must understand; a symbol alone should not carry an important instruction. The compositions here are starting points, not a ranking of popular styles.

The library copies the displayed character without forcing a particular font or adding presentation selectors. Appearance in the destination can differ. Unicode documents gaps in font coverage, so keep a plain punctuation alternative if a symbol is missing. This page does not include a separate kaomoji or text-face generator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Copy include the symbol’s label?

No. An individual Copy button copies only the symbol. Copy Phrase preview includes your text and the surrounding symbols.

Can I choose a heart without changing my words?

Yes. Choose Use White heart, or another heart, and edit the phrase. The preview surrounds the original text without styling its letters.

Why can a symbol look different after pasting?

The destination controls rendering and font selection. Check the result there and substitute plain punctuation if the decorative symbol does not display usefully.
